The Municipal Court in Prague has overturned the Ministry of Health’s measure prohibiting persons from third countries from applying for visas and long-term residence.
This measure did not apply only to workers and students. An exemption was also granted for family reunification.
All persons from third countries can now enter the Czech Republic.
The court judged such a measure restricting the entry of foreigners to be disproportionate as the ministry did not consider using existing solutions which would prevent the possible spread of infection.
