On Friday 20 September 2019 the first formal meeting took place between representatives of the Czech-Turkish Joint Chamber and a business delegation from the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). ČTSOK’s chairman of the board Aleš Eppinger and vice-chairman of the board Alper Özmert discussed possible cooperation with members of SCCI, particularly in investing in the local transport infrastructure in the Samsun conurbation and mutual support and trade exchange in the agricultural sector with the focus on the export of agricultural equipment to Turkey and the import of fresh fruit and vegetables to the Czech Republic.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Eppinger and Mr. Murzioğlu, President of the Samsun Chamber of Commerce and Industry, presented each other with gifts and agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation and to exchange information on specific suitable projects in the Czech Republic and Turkey.
